WHO: kindergarten-fifth grade

WHAT: Campers will experience the world of abstraction using many shapes, forms, colors and lines in activities such as painting, drawing, sketching and mixed media.

WHEN: 9h-12h July 18-22

WHAT: Campers will learn techniques for creating beautiful paintings using acrylic paints. The camp will include field trips in the afternoon.

AFRICAN SAFARI ART CREATIONS

WHAT: Using art techniques from Nigeria, Egypt and other countries, campers will create art projects inspired by African animals. The camp includes afternoon field trips.

WHAT: Campers will use clay to create food sculptures using a variety of hand-building techniques and glazing applications.

ART OF THE LAND OF THE LOW LANDS

WHAT: Campers will research the unique characteristics of their favorite animal by creating exclusive wildlife-inspired artwork.

WHAT: Campers will explore different aspects of art and find innovative ways to link art to science.

CAMERAS AND PICTURES AND FILM… OH MY!

WHO: sixth grade and up

WHAT: The camp will teach the basics of black and white photography and digital photography. Techniques including composition, exposure, film processing, darkroom techniques and Adobe Photoshop.

WHAT: Campers will create a dining set for themselves, including a plate, bowl and mug. Some artwork will be wheel-thrown and some will be handcrafted.

WHAT: Campers explore mixing colors through different art projects and will even create an edible color wheel. The camp includes afternoon field trips.

CONTEMPORARY MASTERPIECES

EXPLORE CARTOONIING AND CLAY

WHAT: Campers will create original 2D and 3D characters using modeling clay, create a character storyboard scenario, and build a set to create a stop-motion video.

EXPLORE THE DAVINCI ARTS SAMPLER

WHAT: Campers will explore the art and science of ink-print monoprints, collage and eco-friendly fabric dyes.

WHEN: June 27-30, 9am-12pm (7-10 years old), 1pm-4pm (11-14 years old)

WHAT: This workshop introduces students to drawing techniques on different kinds of effect drawing paper and using different drawing tools, graphite pencils, charcoal and ink. Rendering, shading, 2D and 3D compositing, texturing, contouring, and shape/shape drawing skills are explored.

WHEN: July 18-21, 9am-12pm (7-10 years old), 1pm-4pm (11-14 years old)

WHAT: Campers will explore color mixing, brushwork and the fundamentals of composition through mediums and techniques of painting on canvas and watercolor paper.
